Fuck AI. Make shit art.

For those of us that live in the margins of society, perfect is boring. We embrace what it means to be messy and human.Art should reflect that experience.Proud Little Pixels is founded by a qualified and experienced mental health peer worker. Our mission is to provide hobby kits that promote mindfulness, community connection, and mental wellbeing, while taking a firm stand against AI generated art. We license real art from real humans.Whoever you are, and whatever experience you've had in life, you are welcome here. We hope you find connection with some of these pieces. You are not alone. You are loved.

G'Day!

Hi there! I'm Eleanor (they/she), the owner and operator of Proud Little Pixels. As a queer, neurodivergent and mentally ill human I've spent a lot of time learning how my brain works, and how to find joy in a world that isn't built for me.Disconnecting from toxic media, broken systems, and the influence of billionaires is essential for protecting my mental health. It's also a form of rebellion. In the words of Gandhi:"the moment we cease to support the system, it dies a natural death"Crafts like diamond painting and cross-stitch are how I disconnect. It's the joy of building something beautiful, without the pressure of creating something original. It's being able to remove myself from the worries of the world that I have no influence on. Taking these moments to rest and regulate means I can recharge for my work in suicide prevention, mental health and community development.Proud Little Pixels is anti-AI, and any works sold here are either originals or fully licensed and credited to the artists. AI cannot replace human stories, connection, and communities.I hope my humble "pixel craft" store can offer you not just disconnection, but a moment of connection to your identity, your community, and what it means to be human in all our beautiful and unique forms.
